That makes sense.

The problem is that we used for the majority of the award night certificates from Marriott. I can technically cancel the stay but it was quite difficult to redeem these and I hate to let them expire and then pay a different resort full price. In fact I was thrilled to find availability at the time when I found it. A stay in Waikiki is not the same and Aulani and the Four Seasons will be $3000+ at this point. So in mind I don't really have the option to cancel at this point.
