Obviously KARFA has a different definition of consistency

It was definitely only long-haul outstations that were aligned to 60 minutes check-in closures. This was not previously applied to LHR/LGW - or LCY if anyone wants to pedantic and claim it's a long-haul airport

I note that on BA.com it actually says "Long haul international airports - at least 60 minutes before departure, check Manage My Booking". So I'm guessing some still apply earlier check-in closures.
