All vitriolic rhetoric aside, exactly why is searching someone in the name of security un-American? One can argue about the efficacy of the policy, but I haven't seen anything in your posts that demonstrates violation of the Constitution.

I work at rock concerts for fun, and we surely search people. Why? Having someone stabbed at your venue is not fun, and even less so for the person getting stabbed. Sure, it's far less likely that someone can get something through the scanner, and the search may not serve a purpose, may be annoying, blah, blah, blah..but un-American? I don't think so...
