Hi Flyers,

I used to travel a lot for work and I haven't in the past 18 months or so. Well, I find mindself with about 24K in AA points and 24K in Delta points. They both expire about the first of the year. Would it be smart to just buy 1K of points on both and get a couple of $100 gift cards through Points.com? I could transfer over some Hilton Honors points to put me above the 25K bench mark that Points.com requires for gift cards, or is there a better option to try and get something out of these dormant points?

Any advice is much appreciated!
