3) 2 days later, I disputed the charge on my credit card. They allow only few words in the initial dispute.
4) 3 weeks later, They closed my dispute because I used AMEX card to book the hotel online with hotwire and I used Master card for Incidentals. Credit card company thought I was disputing double charge. Ridiculous. So I have to re-dispute and the Credit card company tells me that this time I can add as much information as I can with attachments.
BTW, I did give my credit card for incidentals which I did hundreds of time in the past for my travel. That does not give them a blank check of doing maliciously what they want and charge ($500??? Its not Westin...its Quality Inn) what they want. No one want records or takes the pictures of the condition of the hotel room when they check out. Nor do they call hotel staff to come personally and check before leaving. It's all in good faith.
But when business's don't act in good faith and are sneaky. How do you defend yourself? They are no regulations around it.
