A little late to the party but here's my 2 pennies worth:

1) Going east - has to be QR. I have done 14/15 hr flights this year and definitely prefer the flights via the ME. Helps break the journey.

2) Mumbai - separate from Going east for 2 reasons. Lots of family inc my in-laws and wife has limited annual leave compared to myself. Need maximum time so direct BA flights..........there I have said it!

3) Going west - incredibly, I. Have not been west of England since 2006. A trip is very much overdue. It will have to be an ex-Eu with AA 777/787 as 1st choice......I have heard the Bloody Mary is very good!

4) Going South - for work. Accra and Lagos on BA because the direct 6 hr flight is tempting. If I'm feeling Anti BA (as I sometimes do), it would be Turkish Airlines via Istanbul. Anywhere else in Africa (zaf, zim, zam and Ken), it is QR.

5) Oz - this is bucket list once in a lifetime destination for me so it would have to be QR F or a QF code EK F flight all the way.
