My father and I are doing a week trip of a few days in Beijing and a few in Hong Kong. Public transit is how we intend to get around and is a bit of a fascination of mine, and I know in HK you can get the octopus at the airport but you must pay with cash, no cards. Is this similar at PEK, will I be able to purchase one there, and do I have to use cash or can I use my credit card, or am I only able to buy a yikatong in the city proper at a subway station? Thanks all in advance I couldn't find this info anywhere!
