I asked Etihad Premium Twitter account if I would earn Tier miles on Alitalia flights. Here is what they said:

" You will earn 50% as a gold member" And they sent me the link I already sent to them.

I then wrote "I want you to confirm that I earn Tier miles when I fly Alitalia. What the link says is not clear. Please confirm!" Their reply was:

"as confirmed by our colleague you will earn 50% Etihad Tier Bonus when flying on an Alitalia flight. "

Do you think they might have changed back to tier miles again with the latest annoucement of aligned tier benefits (less than 2 weeks ago)? Stating that there is a 50% Tier miles bonus on all Etihad Partner does only make sense if you indeed earn tier miles, or?

Any suggestions on how to get this clarified/confirmed?
