I’m more than willing to have this transferred to TravelBuzz. “Gay travel” ultimately concerns all members of the FlyerTalk family.
So far, I am hearing that an essential component of gay travel is indeed to be surrounded as much as possible by other gay people. In that regard I like Wharvey’s comparison to singles cruises.
Yet single travel, senior travel and family travel can be differentiated from Jewish travel, black travel and gay travel. To me, they’re on the opposite end of the “willingness to interact” spectrum. And that leads to my broader and longer-range concern about social integration.
