What's the difference between this plane and the ERJ-145? How old is this plane?

I'm going to be on a nonstop flight from LGA-SDF on this plane; any thoughts on it?

Also, I've heard some comments about the noise of these jets.. so is it better to sit in the very front of the plane, back, middle to be the most COMFORTABLE?
