Stayed in building 8, top floor (4th), in a two bedroom villa--was told it's the newest building. Each was a Master Suite (had its own bathroom and balcony). Full ocean front view, but there's slightly dumpy residential property down low, and a small road, between the building and the sea. Didn't bother me--especially when seated when seated at the dining table, looking out over the sea, you could imagine you were in the presidential suite of a high-end cruise ship.

I could see construction of the lagoon if I looked out to the far left while on the balcony, but again, didn't bother me at all. Some buildings would be looking directly out over the dirt, however.

Very welcoming staff, decent pools, and loved my stay there.

Ended up grocery shopping at the Big Save, not a too terribly far drive away. The prices were Hawaii prices, but I don't recall them being outrageous. Can't speak to particular items because a relative bought the groceries (I'd secured the flights with miles and lodging with points, after all).

Wasn't very impressed with Whaler's prices and selection, the ABC-like general store where Puka Dog is located.
