That's why I said to walk up the beach around the bend about 1/2 mile. It is nearly deserted, except for people looking for things other than crowds and children. You will have to rent a car for the day - and, I would suggest spending the morning at El Yunque, the rainforest, and spending the afternoon at the beach, which is right nearby. You will have had one great day when you are finished.
