Decided to top up my A3 balance with the remaining thousands by transferring SPG starpoints. But I only had 650 of those. But I did have 3,900 Marriott points, and since they merged a week and a bit ago, I was able to transfer 3,000 of those over into 1,000 starpoints, and purchase 1,000 starpoints for $35, to meet the 2,500 lowest transfer limit. 2,500 starpoints + the 20,119 aegean miles I already had means that - in 10 days time - I should be able to burn all these damn points on my ticket, with a total cash outlay of £87 for business LHR-ATH, which I'm fine with.
