The airport is MSY. I've gone on to the UberPeople.net and posted about this for New Orleans, and I did get a few folks that told me to call them. I might do that next time I arrive in the late afternoon, such that I would have fallback options if they were to fall through, but this go round, I'll be getting in at 22:00, so I'm just going to stick with the regular ground service. As for the Uber pricing, it seems to be around $80, compared to the $110 for me (because I'm getting piked up an hour later than 21:00, there is an extra $10 charge.) I guess I'll have to wait until taxis become full driverless, in which case I'm sure the driverless taxis would queue up at the airport just like drivered taxis do now, so maybe I won't need to have the mobile phone working.
I would still like to get a service carrier that won't shut my SIMM card down or not using it. In other countries, I've let it go (i.e., because I was going back to the USA for a few months), and it was no problem just buying some more time and having it back to normal.
