Flew SEA-LHR this summer and loved the timing of the arrival. Getting in in the afternoon took the pressure off having to do a full day of activities but allowed us to enjoy a nice evening. With the expedited customs access through D1, we were downtown early enough to catch a show in the West End and a lovely dinner afterwards....no jet lag that trip! Great kick-off to a European vacation.

Definitely agree with booking return from a continental airport to save on taxes. Transfer to any European destination from London with any number of LCCs or take the high speed train to Paris...
