If anyone here wants to scare themselves, go back to say 2004-2006 and read the AC FT archived threads/posts.

All kinds of deal-making, swaps, shares, exchanges, etc etc, done in the open, on a public forum. And not just on FT.

Most of the major airlines have come a long way since the days of either ignoring FTer posts or not having the techniques and staff to keep an eye on things.

Anyway, AQD is the net result of more than one thing.
