I have had 4 entries with family in the last 2 years and a further one on my own.
SEA BA Apr - under 10m from doors opening to waiting for bags for 4 pax
JFK BA Aug - under 15m from doors opening to waiting for bags for 4 pax
DFW AA Aug - machine failure so took 20 mins..shock horror
LAX AA Aug - Got the full 90 minute wait plus lots of shouty people who took the view that the louder they shouted the more the Koreans, Chinese and Japanese would understand. Charming reception to the USA.
JFK AA APR on my own and on train within 15 minutes of doors opening.

In fairness I am generally at the front of the plane so this helps enormously.

My experience in the last 2 years has been very good and I have been particularly impressed by the machines which scan the passport, take pictures and prints. Only once have they failed (at DFW) but it was my first time so possibly user error.

In comparison to returning to Britain which is a ghastly most of the time; entering the US for me at least, has been a very pleasant and positive experience and I don't have any GE or other status in the US.
