I think the new phones are really nice looking, but I don't see a reason to spend that much for a phone when the 5x and 6p are available at much more reasonable prices and they are also pretty decent phones. Presumably they will soon get the new version of the OS and might eventually get the assistant as well, unless they intend to keep that as a competitive advantage for only their new pixel phones.
