Good reference on the 10k. Someone else said they should refund a few hundred bucks. The ticket was about $1200 rt LAX-TPA if that's of relevance.
I certainly wouldn't expect that, and find the suggestion actually pretty absurd. $1,200 RT means, just to be easy, that the leg without the meal cost $600. "A few hundred bucks" means, at the least, $200. A third of the price of a flight for missing some enchiladas (I seem to keep running into those on flights)? Not likely.
I think the 10,000 miles is a much more reasonable expectation.
