Yes I can understand that - however I'll never pay the fee as I'm only travelling for leisure. SK won't make any money on us but they could have saved quite some for IDB + upgrade someone.

Exactly - it's stupid of SK - as the earlier departure is not sold out so there's no extra cost for them to get you on the earlier flight - except finding your bags and load it on to the flight.
