I've used a BA Amex companion voucher to book Avios flights in F for Aug and Sep next year EDI-LHR-SEA and PHX-LHR-EDI. I booked the outbound flights online and then phoned three weeks ago to add the return flights.

Yesterday I received a new e-ticket receipt, now including the return flights. I'm puzzled by the fact that it states:

Redemption Type: Companion e-voucher
Voucher Type: Gold Upgrade Voucher

I reached Gold level in the Executive Club for the first time yesterday and now have a total of 1500 tier points so I've never had a Gold Upgrade voucher! Why is it mentioned on the e-ticket receipt?
