I can see the logic in abiding by the rules. SK won't make any money now by not allowing you to change flights, but perhaps next time you buy a ticket you'll be inclined to buy a more flexible one? Or realise that you have to pay the change + fare upgrade fee to change.
Not in my case. I wouldn't have arrived one minute earlier, as it was first leg out of two. And I don't care if I have to wait in the lounge at CPH or ARN.
In fact, I was willing to depart one hour earlier to potentially avoid lot of trouble for me and the airline (which happened in this case.)
It was/is just stupid – which I afterwards told SAS a couple of times (no meaningful answers) before I claimed and got my 2x600 Euros.
