Quick question on what constitutes Valid ID for state government rates...can't seem to find this answer anywhere.

To use the State of Maryland for example...there are plenty of agencies that are part of the Maryland government but don't use the "State of Maryland, Department of" wording on their credentials. And some that aren't even obviously a state agency to state residents.

In Maryland employees of public colleges & universities, police departments and schools systems are considered state employees but clearly their ID won't necessarily "look" like a state ID.

Would one have to take a chance of explaining this to the FD Clerk or is there an official definition somewhere?
