Being TG Gold means nothing in respect of privileges viz a friend or relative of anyone working on the plane or a friend of a friend working on the plane, or a TIP or an employee on a FOC ticket.
Some of those service directors are dinosaurs and martinets; some are outstanding.
But Thai is a 2 star airline and well on its way to bankruptcy. Get status with another carrier before they go under. There is more than a sniff of Ansett about Thai. Sad to see what was a good carrier go into what appears to be a terminal decline.
