This change will not really change much. The same number of "F" seats will be available for discount elite upgrades (Full F or P upgrades are done at time of ticketing, so that doesn't change)

What NWA is doing is breaking the F seats down into subsets so that they can better measure how they are allocating the seats.

Different subsets such as the following will be easier for NWA marketing to track/monitor:

Silver Elite upgrade (via computer)
Gold Elite Upgrade (via computer)
Plat Elite Upgrade (via computer)
Silver Elite upgrade using WP points
Gold Elite Upgrade using WP points
Plat Elite Upgrade using WP points
Plat/Plat Companion upgrade (via computer)
Non-elite upgrade using WP poiints
Partner airline upgrade (via computer)
Partner upgrade using partner airline points


Since the available seats will not increase or decrease this change should not matter, except change is hard for many of us to deal with!
