Hi,

I recently received a SPG supplementary card. I tried to add it to my main online account, where I have my other cards, but it didn't work. I called Amex, who said that sometimes it happens and he said they'd be able to link it to my main account after 7 working days. He suggested that I create a second account temporarily.

I called today to do the above, but I was told it's not possible, and supplementary cards cannot be added to online accounts with basic cards. This is obviously not true, because my partner has the Platinum supplementary card on the same account as the other main cards.

I'm based in the UK but I imagine the system's the same in other countries.

Is there anything that can be done about this?
