Agreed, my wife and I both met the minimum spend organically and I have since closed my account. She will close hers prior to the AF due date. I was planning on keeping the card, however how the whole process was handled put a bad taste in my mouth, so I cancelled. I actually made money on this deal with my 2-$100 AA gift cards and the refund of my AF. Add in the 100,000 points and it was a steal.
Again, I would still have the card had they not handled the process so poorly. Losing a single customer is not good business, so I disagree with Mia's assumption. Especially the situation they find themselves in after losing the Costco contract.
