You intentionally missed his point and instead latched on to one descriptive aspect. Ok, I get it, you feel that the adjective "fatty" should not have been used to describe the fat person. I am sorry your delicate sensibilities were offended and I have made a note to admonish the OP just as soon as AC offers me a quality delicious meal on a long haul flight in business class. Not withstanding the descriptive word you object to, I found the OP to be depressingly accurate.

The comments cut to the root of a major issue in Canada's service industry: Attitude. It is noticeable with some companies. Many service industry personnel, particularly those age 37+ at AC are overtly hostile, lazy and downright rude to the pax. I know that when I check in at a BR flight in YYZ, I am treated professionally and politely. And surprise, surprise, those BR employees who are Canadian residents, can often be aged 35+. Oh the difference a smile can make.
Know what else? The KLM personnel at YYZ and YUL are just as nice and many of those employees are 45+ and often "full bodied". Again, something to be said about attitude. Over at West Jet, they have some older employees and others who are a bit bountiful. And yet, I have only had smiles and good cheer from the West Jet employees.

I too am often embarrassed when I see how AC personnel behave, both on the ground and in the air. There are some cultures where towering over older people or waving your hand in someone's face, or barking at someone is incredibly rude. You don't do this to the Japanese, or Thais or Singaporeans. And yet, AC expects to make inroads into the Asian market.
