It seems UA is cutting its international traffic out of LAX as well. I can only count three international flights out of LAX now:

Mexico City
Tokyo
Sydney

You would think with the entertainment industry and Asian American populations in Southern California, UA would try to expand more international routes. I have heard from my LA friends who do a lot of business in Asia complaining about UA's lack of Asia flights out of LAX. A British friend who is in the moive industry has stopped flying UA completely because she cannot get a direct flight out of LHR, and is so sick of transfering through SFO or ORD. SQ, CX, CI, JAL and BA all have multiple daily international flights into LAX, then why cannot UA just have one flight into those international markets? At least try to give UA passengers some code-share flights with TG and SQ into Asia!
