Depends what you mean by 'worth it'. Is it better? Yes, by a long way. Is it good value, when AA is offering HKG-JFK for $18k HKD vs CX routinely charging $60k or more? That depends on you.

The service is much better on CX but Americans often seem to get upset that CX crew 'ignore' them when its just different service standards. On CX you are left alone and expected to use the call bell if you want something, but they will be at your seat in seconds if you request them. Much better way of operating but quite alien to most US and European passengers. There are very few airlines I've flown on that understand service as well as CX crew do.

It's a newer seat and looks nicer, but the Cirrus seat is much more spacious and comfortable.
