Thanks! I'd certainly skip it if they offered (or said okay if I asked,) but I know that is very, very unlikely to happen.

I was in a similar situation years ago (old UA) with BWI-ORD-IAD-EZE and when the agent saw the routing and needing the space on BWI-ORD segment she was more than willing to check me in for the IAD-EZE flight and skip the rest. I went home and then directly to IAD with a printed boarding pass. Worked fine. good luck.
