I just looked through some reviews of their ORD-HKG route and it looks like cathays hard product is worse than most of the AA cabins. The seats are identical but the screens look dated.

Is the soft product really that much better? AA service is absolute .... but the CY reviews seem to say its good but not great.

I used to fly singapore air back in the USAIR days and the soft product there was so great that it was absolutely worth going out of the way for. i am not sold yet on cy
