I sympathize with the OP's situation. (Luckily my experience at SFO was more than satisfactory.) The fact that the OP was afraid of pressing the issue is telling (<redacted>). But it's likely a bad apple. I initially applied for GE at ORD, and all the subsequent applications (GE renewal, APET card, etc) were all approved by the ORD office. Never had a problem - the approvals were all very fast.

In any case, can someone share their experience how long it took to receive the card in the past month or two? A couple months ago, the card producing facility had an issue and it took more than a month to get the card. I just got a new passport - it's been 9 days since the replacement card app was approved and still no card.
