Let's just say we're "discussing" how Delta sells FCM too expensively. If I ever lose a Medallion uograde on MSY-(LAX)-SEA because some idiot paid $1,500 for it, I would not be upset. I'd shake my head in amazement, and say, "Good for you!"

Back to Alaska AIrlines: They fly crappy old 737-800's between SAN and SEA with only 12 seats in first class. They don't need FCM: They have low First-to-Coach seat ratios, they sell First for cheap to begin with, and then seemingly open up their entire First Class inventory for mileage upgrades for Delte Skymiles and every other partner.

As much as I like to whine about Delta FCM, AS has been doing worse to its frequent flyers in the area of status upgrades since forever.
