Interesting -- same thing happened to me two weeks back, although the $35 wasn't on the checkout but got tagged to credit card a day or two later. Took a couple of calls before I found someone who knew what it was all about and committed to removing it.
I did find it interesting to learn what Hyatt is paying to a Category 2 for taking a P+C. No wonder some properties make P+C scarce!
