It makes it much longer to buy a ticket - but there are no guarantees that any one method is better than any other - EWR/YUL/EWR was $70 less with two one-ways . . . EWR/LHR/EWR was $300 more using one ways . . . same true with hotels - ask Marriott for a 5 night stay at lowest rate and you'll pay more than reserving five consecutive nights . . . . It is my belief that 'dynamic pricing' also understands your loyalty to the brand and that is rewarded by charging you more - maybe my imagination but it appears I find better fares/hotel rates when using public or relatives' computer rather than my own which the sites recognize. Try it - also check Kayak or Expedia first so you know what the base line should be.
