Whistler is a great resort for skiers/snowboarders, a bit like a Disneyland of sorts. Though I recommend visiting during the low seasons where the queues for the chairlifts are more manage-able. On a side note, Alta/Snowbird near SLC and Jackson Hole are my favourites if you are looking to ski in the US!

For my gear, I brought along my gear. And because I was staying in Vancouver for a bit, I had the use of an apartment there where I could store the gear at. In Europe, I rented the skis but brought my own boots.

I just happen to be fortunate enough to hit the sweet spot I guess. If you do your search carefully before redeeming, it is always possible to get the optimum F rewards! Forward planning helps too!
