Stupid question: if I buy a RT from AAA to BBB vs 2 one ways, is the fare same
I know in the "old days" , sometimes a RT fare would be the same as a one-way, thus not making sense to buy 2 one-ways.

Now, when booking, it looks like United prices each segment of the trip , equally, so there is not a difference.

Wondering on thoughts about this.
