Recall some discussion about using the station car park and entering hotel through health club entrance.
Reading some of the TripAdvisor reviews seems to suggest closure or partial closure of some of the facilities, does this change this option for parking?
Some of the other TripAdvisor reviews talk about suggested parking being a ten minute walk away.
Interested in what the cost and best options are for parking here?
£17 per day sounds very much like a modest discount off the cost for parking at the station, I'm sure it's £19.50 for 24hrs. I'll check with the other half tonight when she gets home as she is a guard for Cross-country.
The only other car parks in the area that aren't on street are St John's Hill (NCP/£16 for 24hrs) which is all uphill (steep) to the hotel, St James if it is still open (NCP/£15.20 for 24hrs) or the The Omni (Qpark/£18 for 24hrs when pre-booked). All of those would involve a bit of a walk from the car park to the hotel so not ideal.
Probably the best place on street would be Chambers Street, however they have reduced the number of spaces there following the changes to the pedestrian area and cycle lane etc plus there are two Ibis's there as well with nearly 500 rooms between them so actually getting a space can leave you feeling like you have just won the lottery.
Other than that I can't really think of anywhere off the top of my head in that area of the City Centre and I live here - sorry!
