For the District/Piccadilly, I tend to go for Barons Court westbound, and Hammersmith eastbound, to maximise the chance of getting a seat. But I do like the old-fashioned station at Barons Court.

If using the Green Park route, the advice with luggage at Green Park is, as always, to ignore the interchange signs, and head up the escalator towards the exit. At the top, take the other escalator down to the platform. Saves all sorts of hassle.
