There are no published Z fares. Z is primarily an award booking class.
It can I think also be used for some internal things. I think that proactive online upgrades (POUG) and airport upgrades (AUP) may re-book the passenger into award booking classes, for example.
However, it occurs to me from your original thread title that you may be using the language loosely, you have not been looking at "Z fares" on EF, and you may mean something else entirely.
Is it the case that BA is telling you that there is one First (Z class) award seat available, but if you do a Flight Availability search on EF, you are seeing an availability display that says "F9 A9 J9 C9 D9 R9 I9" (or whatever numbers they are) with no mention of Z class? If so, then that is normal for that availability display.
If you go to the Awards and Upgrades search on EF, you should see a number for First award seats that matches the number displayed on ba.com.
