Chase bank is backwards compared to other major banks?
I opened up a new Chase bank account (does make it easier for others who have Chase to give me money), but I realized there are many basic features (I use Citi) that don't exist:
Billpay-for Citibank you just enter your credit card number, and they will do the rest (address, etc). Chase you need to enter everything?
Travel notification-I have never had an issue doing travel notification for any other bank, but with Chase certain countries are "blocked"? Online it says the US restricts financial transactions (it was for Taiwan, which I know isn't restricted) but when I called they just said I couldn't put in a travel notification. I've used Citi, Capitalone, etc and they never had any issues.
ATM-one of the newer atms where you put in checks and cash together refused my check deposit. Without an error message. Customer service said to try another ATM. The older ATM did work. But why get rid of your old-style ATM and have the fancy new ones that don't work?
They have a new web-design online that makes finding nothing easy.
I'm just surprised their IT is so backwards compared to other banks. Citi and Capitalone don't have the nicest looking interfaces but at least they seem to work.
