Why do people feel the need to post incendiary titles before they have checked their facts?

If this had all been true, it would have been just as true after OP made it to his home, hotel, office or wherever he was headed.

For what it is worth, carriers report to DOT the actual arrival as the time at which the brakes are locked at the gate. That is a pretty much universal measure worldwide.
