I had a similar conversation on a NY subway, mid moning, early April. I was heading up to see a Yankee game, I was in town visiting a friend. I get on an empty car, then a couple other guys get on, just the three of us. I thought I recognized one, even though he had on a knit stocking cap.

Manhattan is one of those places where you see celebs looking very ordinary and blending into the masses unless you happen to be right next to them/close vicinity and actually paying attention. I can definitely understand why they might appreciate that sort of environment. There have been a few times when I have been walking around Midtown and seen someone whose face I can't quite place but know I have seen before pass by and then a block or two later it comes to me who it likely was.
