Stupid question and apologies for asking, but just came off a few Ethiopian Airlines flights, and on every flight one member of cabin crew wears Traditional Ethiopian White Dress (Habesha? Apologies for my Norwegian lack of traditional understanding), whereas the others wear a more traditional (almost like BA 2005 uniform) cabin crew attire.
Is this cabin crew more senior? Also, and strange question again - but how does Ethiopian do so well compared to other African airlines? They seem to have quite a young fleet and good level of service, along with record levels of profitability? Are they government sponsored? Is it there location that helps them, or lack of local competition on inter-regional Africa?
Regardless, had a very pleasant trip with them and happy to recommend. Just wanted to share
