The only two times I've seen people actually listen was:
1. 2001, LHR-JFK, the FPOTUS, Bill Clinton was on along with his security detail + entourage.
2. The second, date and flight escapes me, but the pilot asked if we could kindly allow the military escort to deplane before everyone.. not a dry eye on the plane..
