Having been in this situation once or twice I can appreciate it. But the staying in your seat and letting people with tight connections off only really works for those on the aisle. I'm an aisle person myself, but it the person with the tight connection is any non-aisle seat beside me, I'll have to get up myself and stand in the aisle until they can get out. By that time, the whole aisle will be full and I may not be able to get back into my row to sit down.

Its a total lose/lose situation and sometimes it just don't work. I've had tight connections at some airports, even without delays, that caused me to miss the next flight. Try going from the far end of F -> far end B/C or deity forbid A in PHL.
