Hmmm....so it's deemed "suspicious" that a competitor mimics another?
Is it not allowed to react to changing market-place forces?
Checked baggage fees are becoming standard in the industry now. I think it is inevitable that after one of the Canadian airlines scrap free baggage, the other was not going to be too far behind in doing the same.
(Also, a link within that article seems to suggest that
airline fares fell. Why pay for something you don't need? I think it's unfair that people that travelled in the years prior had to "pay" for a bag (included in their ticket) even if they didn't use it.
Anyway, the lawyers will be the only ones rubbing their hands in glee at this.)
