Nice to see that Marriott is making the gesture for most. ^ I had about 1500 points left that expired back in February and no plans for stays at that time so just mentally wrote it off. Come to end up booking several stays so emailed Marriott in April and asked if they could be reinstated. Not just no, but a nice little lecturing email that they provided ample advance notice and there were multiple ways to maintain activity and so on. Frankly that and another similar one after a missing stay request has left a sour taste for Marriott's customer service. I've been mostly to very happy with the stays themselves so it hasn't turned me off so far.
