I am heading over to India and Africa about this time next year and I'm looking at trying to use some of my Amex points under Aeroplan.

Anyways, you all have better knowledge of the program, here is my propsed routing.

USA - SIN/HKG (1 day layover or something)
Award - SIN/HKG - BOM (open jaw)
Award - DEL - ADD (stopover) - Europe

I'm going to fly revenue to Asia so the parts I need to piece together are the last two sections and I'm trying to find the cheapest way to go about it.

The other option is I could do it backwards, Europe-ADD-DEL, BOM-SE Asia. I think in both cases it may be best for me to buy a ticket between India and SE Asia.

Aeroplan will not let me price out DEL-ADD-CDG (as an example) so I think I may have a misunderstanding of the rules. When I search DEL-CDG as a one way it gives me CAI as a connection point so it does seem Africa can be used as a connecting point to Europe, unless that's only an exception for N. Africa.
